Message for former patients of Brighton General Practice

***UPDATE: North Brighton Medical has now relocated to 75 Asling Street, Brighton, which is across the road from the former location of Brighton General Practice***

As you may be aware, Brighton General Practice has recently closed.

However, we are pleased to advise that the owners of Brighton General Practice, Link Health, have made arrangements with North Brighton Medical to ensure that all of Brighton General Practice patients can continue to access quality healthcare.

We invite you to look through North Brighton Medical’s website to learn more about their general practitioners and the services they offer. You will see that:

  • North Brighton Medical is located close to the existing clinic at 186 Bay Street, Brighton.

  • Unlike many GP clinics in the area, North Brighton Medical offers bulk billing to children aged 15 and under, and pension cardholders aged 65+. This is available for appointments between 10am and 4pm weekdays. See their fees and billing policies for details.

  • You can book an appointment at North Brighton Medical online from their website, or via the HotDoc app.

  • You can also call North Brighton Medical’s friendly reception staff on 03 8506 9949 to book an appointment or with any queries.

If you have been a patient of Brighton General Practice, the following arrangements have been made to ensure a safe and smooth transition of your healthcare:

  • A copy of your medical records held by Brighton General Practice will be forwarded to North Brighton Medical so we can access your past history, prescriptions, immunisations and other records if and when you wish to attend our clinic. Note that North Brighton Medical will use and store your personal information in accordance with their Privacy Policy.

  • If you have had any recent or upcoming pathology or radiology tests, or if you attend a hospital or see a specialist, any results and other correspondence will be re-directed to North Brighton Medical so we can contact you if there is anything needs to be followed up.

  • North Brighton Medical might contact you by phone or SMS with reminders of preventative health measures, such as annual flu vaccines, scheduled child immunisations, health checks, care plans and routine blood tests. If you do not wish to receive these reminders, please contact North Brighton Medical to opt out.

If you would prefer to see a doctor at another practice, you can download a transfer request form and return it to North Brighton Medical, and we will promptly arrange for your medical records to be sent to that practice.

We look forward to meeting you should you wish to attend our clinic for your future healthcare needs.
